A comparative analysis of InGaAs SPADs and SNSPDs in entanglement-based Quantum communications
In a recent study by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Single Quantum SNSPDs demonstrated an 80-fold increase in coincidence rates compared to traditional SPADs in an entanglement-based QKD protocol, significantly enhancing the efficiency of quantum key exchanges.
This improvement allows secure communication over much longer distances, making SNSPDs a game-changer for quantum communication systems.
As cyber threats continue to rise, the need for secure data transmission is more critical than ever. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) offers a robust solution for secure communication, and our SNSPDs are playing a crucial role in enabling its success!
